Brands Technorati: Virtual PC, Shared Folders, Tutorial, Share files, copy files
Following the recent tutorial on Virtual PC 2007, found me with some questions of who is using this software in the boot. One of those issues is how to share files between virtual machine and host computer?
In this tutorial I will explain two ways to do it.
TUTORIAL - Share / Copy files in Virtual PC 2007:

1st Form - Drag files
The most direct and easy to copy files between a virtual machine and host computer, and drag files from side to side.
Simple and effective. Works of both the host computer for the virtual machine, and the contrary.
2nd Form - Share a folder
The second way is to use a feature disponbilizada the Virtual PC 2007, the "Shared Folders" which lets you share folders on the host computer's virtual machine.
To activate this feature we have to start the virtual machine, and then click on "Edit -> Settings."
In the Settings window, select "Shared Folders".
Then click "Share Folder", choose the folder to the host computer that we share.
For this tutorial decided to share the entire disk C: the computer host. Letter that we chose to drive (Drive letter), in this case Z, and if the sharing is always active, select the box "Share every time". Then click OK.
We have our C: drive shared between the host computer and virtual machine, as you can see in the image above. If we can share more folders.
Now we can copy files from one place to another easily and quickly. ![]()

Hello, for your questions:
1-theory is not a malware can infect the host so often the virtual machines are used to test this, infections with viruses and malware. However, it is best to prevent the virus evolves and that this is already true today is not.

2 - The output of ip for the internet is always the ip of the host, therefore, be as traceable as before.
I hope I have clarified.

Good afternoon everybody!
I have the following problem:
Configd fuses in the Gpedit, I created a rule that no User can log on more virtual machines, or myself. Only within the HD VIRTUAL I need some files and recover them.
Question: Creating another virtual machine as I have access to the HD first and get the files?
Can you give me some tips?
Thank you.

@ Rafael
With Virtual Server 2005 can access the contents of an HDV without having to run a virtual machine.
there is a small tool that allows you to mount an HDV as a disk of your machine, vhdMount
Here some useful links:
